Living Presence Ministry

Presence isn’t something that you create or generate… it’s a relationship that you allow.

Presence is about our connection- our relationship- to that greater being to which we all belong.

Prayer is a kind of sacramental nourishment. It is a returning to that interior place where we experience the luminous presence, where we remember a sense of wholly belonging.

It is only after the experience of being absorbed into this wordless state of prayer that we recognize this as the presence of God, as the abyss-like ground of our being.

Living a life of prayer is a devotional commitment to returning to, and abiding in, this love.

Our ministry honors the mystical - contemplative path, which is the lifeblood flowing through the foundations of all religious traditions.

All are welcome here.

Our prayer practice is meant to be embodied in our daily life. Whatever our centering practices that reconnect us to truth, they are meant to show us that every activity - even, and especially, those mundane activities like washing dishes and cleaning up our beloved doggie’s poo - can be done with a prayerful presence. Our practices lead us into a moment-by-moment living in prayer, living in presence.

Our coming more and more into union with the Beloved is a becoming more and more embodied in our humanness, and in the ordinariness of reality.

“The divine plan is to transform human nature into the divine, not by giving it some special role or exceptional powers, but by enabling it to live ordinary life with extraordinary love.” Thomas Keating

The nature of our offerings are somatic, body-based, prayer practices. We explore how our sensuous life can be met with our ascetical - contemplative life. That is - how can we awaken through our senses to the divine reality behind & through our senses? And how can our daily actions - our movements - be infused with this greater presence?

Each of our offerings are unique pathways intended to help you return to your center. These are our centering practices.

Drinking ceremonial tea and emptying oneself of the busy-ness cluttering our mind…

Moving into the areas of our body that store life’s pains and allowing the body to naturally release these restrictions…

Resting in healing touch and being transformed by the divine therapy…

Allowing the loving support of the plant realm to bring us back into harmony with the way that reality is…

These centering practices were born of a need to return to the truth, return to balance, in the midst of modern daily living. We offer them to you, in hopes they can be a beacon of support, a guiding light that helps you return home.

There is a living presence inviting us into a way of living in the presence.
